Research conclusions on the relationship between Instagram exposure and men's perceptions of their body image are discussed in this presentation. Specific Instagram content viewed on a consistent basis was evaluated to determine if that content is detrimental to body image. With a world of increasing and pervasive exposure to advertising, social media, apps, television and more strikingly colorful and altered photos, we believe a discussion on such a topic will be both useful and applicable. We aim to shed light on certain Instagram content that could be affecting our young men's body image and how to identify solutions.
