On June 19, 2014, Laura Warburton's 16 yr old daughter, Hannah, died from suicide. Since that time, she started a nonprofit www.livehannahshope.org which offers suicide support for prevention and postvention. This organization offers a resilience award to Utah seniors which is currently distributed through list serve. Laura is trained to teach suicide prevention with QPR and SafeTalk and was instrumental in the SafeUt app and it’s rollout having served on the commission. During the 2018 session, she was awarded a citation by the Utah House for her work in suicide prevention. She has also been intimately involved with passing several bills and supports Hope Squads where ever possible. She speaks to high schools and professional groups across Utah.
